Our climbing areas database contains references to over 1000 articles describing the routes and logistics of over 500 climbing areas. If you have access to back issues of Climbing and Rock & Ice magazines, this database is a good way to get you started researching a new area. In our "Guide Lines" page you'll find articles describing techniques used and taught by USMGA endorsed guides. The USMGA's "Ask a Guide" section gives you the opportunity to see some of the USMGA's endorsed guide's answers to some of the more common quetions they have received.. Check out our "Gear Reviews" page to see what professional guides are saying about the gear and clothing they use and abuse. Find out about what gear works, what doesn't, and how to use it. The "Trip Planning Info" section has links to sites which describe weather and avalanche conditions, ice climbing conditions, and logistical information for a number of popular climbing destinations. The "Equipment Lists" section provides a good starting point for getting all your gear together for your next climbing or skiing adventure. The various lists can be printed and used as checklists while you pack. Our
Guide Forums are availible to all AMGA members and all USMGA endorsed
