A
credential you can trust This is what the American climber needs when choosing a guide and this is what the USMGA is providing. There are a number of other labels being used as credentials in the guiding industry. These include; certification, accreditation, professional membership, permits and insurance. None of these (except for IFMGA certification) is backed solidly by a standard. Our goal is to make it easier for you to choose a guide. All USMGA endorsed guides have been examined in the field and have proven that they meet the standard established by the IFMGA or one of its member associations. The USMGA is working to raise the standard of American guiding. A
